Thorin Oakenshield - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Continuing my look at the 3.75 line
from the upcoming movie, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, today we
have the would-be King Under the Mountain himself, Thorin
Oakenshield. His quest to reclaim his ancestral home in Erebor, the
Lonely Mountain, is what prompts Gandalf to recruit Bilbo Baggins. In
a roundabout way, Thorin is indirectly responsible for the events of
the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hit the jump to see more!

Gandalf the Grey - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The second character from the upcoming
movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is definitely a fan favorite,
Gandalf the Grey! The iconic wizard is the catalyst of many things in
not only The Hobbit, but The Lord of the Rings as well. Sir Ian
McKellan is reprising his role as Gandalf in the upcoming film and
that is awesome. Is the 3.75 scale version of Gandalf awesome as
well? Hit the jump to find out!

Bilbo Baggins - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Next month Peter Jackson is releasing
the first movie in his new trilogy based on the books of J.R.R.
Tolkien. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens on December 12 here
in the United States and it is going to be huge. I am unabashedly a
giant fan of Tolkien, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, and the Peter
Jackson movies. Now a month before, we get the full marketing blitz
including the first wave of toys! Hit the jump for an unexpected toy
journey *groan*!

Master Chief
Coming out of the first wave of toys for Halo 4 is Microsoft's iconic hero, Master Chief. The Spartan supersoldier's adventures have spanned 4 games and the franchise itself has several other spin-offs. If you are wondering why you are being taunted by a 12-year old douchebag on Xbox Live, it's probably because of Halo. Anyways, since the blockbuster game released this month that means that tie-in merchandise is out too. Nowadays, what big tentpole franchise doesn't have a toy line? Hit the jump to see more!
