Myth Cloth Review: Aquarius Appendix OCE

Oh the appendix, Bandai's way of correcting the mistakes of the earlier myth cloth. Too bad they did not make enough to for everybody that wants one. While I had been lucky enough to get ahold of the other appendix at a decent price, the one from my birth sign had still elluded me, Aquarius
Until I got one on eBay for $70 . Then in a bad twist of fate , the Chinese seller I bought it from claimed he listed the wrong item for auction. So he said he only had the OCE version and could not fulfill the original item. So in the end I got the OCE version , since I knew may never see the original for under $150.
I later checked the same sellers auctions , to see him listing 3 of the regular color appendix.
So for those who shop on eBay, stay away from the seller: hiretsu. He is bad news!

Well enough of my rant and onto the review. Hit the jump!

The most notable difference between the OCE and the original is the color.  The hair is light red , instead of blue . Also , all of the color used for the eyes is the same red. This gives it that manga look.

The armor for the OCE is  solid gold ,instead of the gold with yellow accents of the original. The OCE is also missing the green in the gems of the chest and headlpiece.

Other than the color, this appendix is identical to the original version. It is also worth noting that the shoulder armor clip onto the shoulders, as opposed to the actual armor ( like in the myh cloth release), providing more mobility for the arms and allowing the figure and appendix to be posed preparing to launch an Aurora Execution.

Not so much.

A great appendix, with an amazing face sculpt and a good alternative to shelling out $150 for the Anime color version. Though it does not sport the blue hair we have grown to know , it sure beats the ugly ass face of the myth cloth any day!
