Saint Seiya Myth Cloth Review : Pegasus Tenma

For our first Saint Seiya Myth Cloth Review we have Pegasus Tenma, the main character of the original Holy War.  This particular figure is from the Lost Canvas Manga/ OVA written by Shiori Teshirogi. It is a spin-off manga ,as Kurumada has pretty much taken in out of the canonical storyline when he released his own interpretation of the original Holy War in Saint Seiya Next Dimension.

Quick Bio
Tenma is an orphan , who is destined to become the bronze saint of the Pegasus constellation. His destiny is bound to that of Hades, who is reincarnated as his childhood  friend Alone , and to Athena, also his childhood friend. After becoming a bronze Saint, Tenma is caught in the middle of the war that ensues between these two gods.

Pros
First of all the body is pretty sweet. It is a later G3 , so it has all of the flexibility that you know and love from the G3 bodies, plus an extra ball joint in the wrist to get better hand posing.
It has a good face sculpt, although it seems a bit out of place next to the Kurumada saints. The figure comes with two faces the "smiling Tenma" and the crazy "AAHH ryuseiken face" (see picture above).
The deisgn is pretty solid  as it is a mix of  Seiya's armors and the author's own style.  ( Tenma even has a gauntlet on his right hand similar to the one that Seiya wears during the Galaxian Wars and is destroyed by Shiryu.)
Pretty similar , except Seiya's armor is more colorful

The figure also has quite a bit of weight to it, as it is mostly diecast, with few plastic. This is a definate plus , as Bandai likes to go plastic crazy on some of the Myth Cloth.

Cons
I am not of big fan of stuff that falls of when you touch it . In the case of Tenma, the Pegasus head on the tiara has a tendency of popping off.
This is the picture that sold me on the figure. I thought to myself " OH man look at Tenma doing a ground pound, that is frickin' sweet." Needless to say I spent quite a while trying to recreate this when I got the figure, with no luck.

Overall Verdict:
Tenma is a great figure for any Saint Seiya fan, although it is a shame that for now Bandai is not releasing any more Lost Canvas Figures.I would recommend it, especially since it can be found for fairly cheap.
