Saint Seiya Myth Cloth Review : Pegasus Seiya V1 (First armor)

Seiya the titular character of Masami Kurumada's Saint Seiya. He is an orphan who is taken in by the Graude foundation so that he may acquire one of the bronze armors for them.  Initially, he cooperates because the foundation promises him that they will use their resources to find his long lost sister. However, with the revelation that Saori Kido is indeed the reincarnation of Athena, Seiya's motivation changes and he begins fighting for her love and the future of humanity.

So hit the jump to read more!

Pros
This figure is quite nice, its sports a G3 (generation 3) body, and a simple  yet appealing design.I have to say I like his armor a bit more than Tenma's.Though the armors for Seiya and Tenma are fairly similar, Seiya's Armor stands out more since it has more color( Silver with accents of yellow and red) than Tenma's blue armor.

The figure makes up for its simplicity with the extras included. It comes with a set of wings , possibly to recreate when he grows wings when fighting Whale Moses.

He also includes a gauntlet , like the one he wears in the manga during his fight with Shiryu. However, since this is the TV version of the first armor and he never wore the gauntlet in the anime, including the gauntlet seems a bit out of place ; but who can complain about more stuff!?

Seiya also includes five sets of hands , which come in very handy when posing him (no pun intended).
Gimme a minute while I trace out the Pegasus constellation

Cons
This figure suffers from having an OKAY face. It looks best when he has the helmet on, but not so much without it. The neutrality of the face restricts it from being able to do good action poses.

Pegasus ry--- oh man ,I am just not feeling it today.

It is not the worst face sculpt for seiya *coughs V2* , but it is certainly not as good as the appendix faces.
Final Verdict
A must have for any Saint Seiya fan, not just the Myth Cloth collector. Since this is the armor worn during all of the Santuary Arc, which is the largest chunk of episodes, it holds a special place in my heart as the most iconic of the bronze saints' armors.
