Well I am pretty excited to have completed the Poseidon generals, with Seahorse being the final acquisition! Kind of backwards considering he is the very first of the generals to be defeated by the bronze saints. Hit the jump to read about how this general stands up to the rest.

The accuracy of this figure is really great, like the rest of the Poseidon lineup. The face is nicely detailed and he looks really outstanding, especially without the helmet
Although the helmet is true to the series , I find it is easily the worst out of the sea generals, if not all the series. It looks so blah.
It is funny to note that bandai included a single curl of hair that attaches to the helmet to look like it is coming out of it.
His armor is very simple and nothing to write home about. Furthermore , I also have a couple of bones to pick with the armor. First of all, the armor that slides onto the arms is the most pain in the butt I have ever encountered. Even when you slide it in according to the manual, you have to wiggle it around to find the one exact spot to slide it into. Otherwise , the pegs for attaching the hands do not come out far enough to put the hands on.
Since we are on the subject of hands. Seahorse comes with a couple of sets, the most unique one is the pair with the palms facing out to recreate his atttack where he uses the ai pressure to deflect Seiya's Ryusei Ken attacks .
The other complaint I have is that the pegs for the knee armor are at the very bottom, as opposed to being in the middle with most of the other figures. They usually fall off when you handle the figure. Makes this figure more of a pain in the butt !
Pain in the butt! |
All in all, this is a decent figure, but I cannot say he is in the running for m favorite Sea General. Did I mention handling him can be a pain in the butt!?
Stay tuned! Poseidon ,the ruler of the sea will cap of the Poseidon reviews... That is until the release of Mermaid Thetis.
