Kamen Rider: Kamen Rider Agito

Kamen Rider Agito follows the story of Tsugami Shouichi a mysterious, happy-go-lucky young man with amnesia and the abiltiy to transform into Kamen Rider Agito. He uses his powers to fight monsters, who are called Unknown by the police department because they are unidentified creatures whose methods of murdering their victims are impossible by normal methods.

The police also have their own weapon for fighting the Unknown : the G3 , a mechanical suit made to look like a Kamen Rider.

The user of the suit ,Hikawa , is a bit clumsy but has a heart the wishes only to save the innocent from being murdered. His clumsiness and the ineffectiveness of the G3 unit is often questioned by Hojo Tooru, a fellow cop who feels that the G3 was unfairly awarded to Hikawa in order to keep him quiet about the Akatsuki-gou incident , which is later revealed to be connected to the Unknown attacks. Hojo and the G3 team are often involved in a power struggle over the right to fight the Unknown and the G3.
 The third rider, Ashihara Ryou, appears early in the series  . After his fathers breakdown and death , he almost drowns when his powers resonate within him as he is swimming. He lets his swim coach see what has become of him . The coach cannot handle this secret and abandons Ryou. Tragically his girlfriend also cannot deal with what he has become either and leaves him. Ryou leads a lonely existence trying to find a place where he belongs.

The first half of the series weaves a tale of how a battle between the light and dark ( who are embodied by a weird guy with long hair wearing a color coded turtle neck and pants the let you know which side he is protraying) in ancient times leads to the evolution of humanity and how the dark side is trying to eliminate those who have surpassed humanity.

The story is quite intricate and involves just about every character in the series .I won't go into the details of the story  so that those who watch this series still have many pleasant surprises waiting for them. The show  slows down a bit as Another Agito is introduced . He is a doctor , who believes that the duty of saving people from the Unknown falls on him and him alone. He becomes consumed with his ideals and attempts to kill the other Riders , only to realize his foolishness and becomes part of the team.

Maybe he was just mad cuz he was the Ugliest Rider?

The story picks up again as the dark side , attempts to destroy humanity since he is not able to control the Agito.He get humans to commit suicide , specifically those that are Scorpio's . So I am guessing he was planning on taking out humanity one Zodiac sign at a time , and about 20 people a day. Man that could take forever ! Good thing the Riders are there to stop him.

The show was pretty good, except for the slowdown halfway through the series and a few plotholes  . There is plenty of drama, comedy ( like the episode where  everybody is hinting to Hikawa what Agito's true identity is , yet he is oblivious), and suspense to keep the show going. Though the series does get a bit cheesy , much like a J-drama it is a bearable since there is plenty of good action , power-ups and explosions that the Kamen Rider series is know for. Of course there is also the KAMEN RIDER KICK!
